Imagine going to your nearest hairdresser for a christmas trim and finding yourself sitting next to a Hollywood celebrity.
That’s exactly the scenario that the Attaboy Hair patrons in Kent Town had been subjected to after Zac Efron had wanted to pop in for a tidy.
The Adelaide-based hairdresser took Instagram to share the near encounter of the kind of celebrity, revealing that they gave Efron a quintessentially new ‘do to Aussie.
““Zac Efron dropped into Attaboy Hair for a tidy up today, so we gave him a mullet,” they said.
“He also gave the boss man, Robby, a trim – and made him feel 17 again.”
He flew in from NSW last month after signing a star in the locally-produced original film Gold for the Stan streaming service.
Efron made quite a mark on Adelaide-going down for a pint at the famous Hindley Street bar and braving the brunt of the state’s three-day circuit breaker lockdown.
It’s not clear where Efron is staying during his South Australian visit, but it’s almost 2,000km from his 25-year-old Byron Bay girlfriend, Vanessa Valladares.
He’s still far from being the first Hollywood heavyweight to make the most of Australia’s relative COVID-freedom.
Fellow stars Melissa McCarthy and Natalie Portman are both working on separate projects in the region, while actor Mark Wahlberg was in Sydney last week.
