Snow has fallen over parts of NSW as the state is shivering through a cold blast set to bring hazardous winds.

Drone footage taken at Oberon on Saturday shows the area covered in a white blanket of snow as temperatures plummet across the state.

Also snow was expected over the weekend for Katoomba, Lithgow, Orange and Bathurst.

The Blue Mountains, also reported snowfall in west Sydney.
