Victoria Police responded to quash a proposed Saturday night meeting of anti-mask coronavirus conspiracy theorists at a gym in Cranbourne suburb of Melbourne.
A family member from one of the organisers of the event told The Age that she had called the police to inform them that something was going on.
“We tried everything we could to get the meeting postponed,” she said.
“We are just just trying to do what is best.”
Dozens of police turned up with roadblocks to surround the location.
The Herald Sun records officers smashed at about 6:30pm in the windshield of a young female driver’s car after she declined to speak to them.
They arrested the woman briefly, before a short time later letting her go.
“Excuse me, this is unlawful,” she protested.

The incident came a few hours after the Deputy Commissioner of Victoria Police, Rick Nugent, slammed “blatantly selfish” behaviour from some of the state’s residents.
