Victoria has seen a decrease in cases but has reported Australia ‘s deadliest day since the pandemic started.
The Department of Health and Human Services announced on Monday that another 322 new cases and 19 deaths had occurred over the last 24 hours.
There have now been 229 deaths in Victoria-48 of them in the past three days.

Sunday had the previous highest death toll at 17 deaths and reported 394 cases of coronavirus from more than 41,000 tests.
This comes after Melbourne ended the first week of restrictions under Stage 4, with five weeks to go.
There is a nighttime curfew in place, masks are required, a one-hour regular exercise limit and a distance of 5 km when leaving home for a reason necessary.
Daniel Andrews will hold a news conference Monday later.
