Since suffering a heart attack, two and a half men star Conchata Ferrell was moved to a long-term care facility.
Ferrell, known for playing the CBS sitcom ‘s sharp-tongued housekeeper Berta, was hospitalised in May after feeling ill, her husband Arnie Anderson said to TMZ.
The actress was in intensive care for more than four weeks, and at one stage went into cardiac arrest.
According to Anderson, she is currently on a respirator and dialysis, and in stable condition, but is semi-conscious and unable to speak or communicate.
“It’s going to be a while before there’s any recovery. It’s all neurological,” Anderson told the outlet. “There’s nothing we can do to speed it up the process. We are hoping for the best.”
Anderson added that he often speaks with Ferrell’s nurse but is unable to visit her due to coronavirus pandemic-related restrictions. (Ferrell is not currently COVID-19 sufferer.)
Ferrell was also admitted to hospital in December after developing a kidney infection for several weeks. TMZ claims that this infection is linked to her current illness, which she seemed to recover from by February.
