Due to the evolving situation in New South Wales, effective from 11.59pm Sunday 19 July significant additional restrictions will be in place for anyone wanting to enter WA from NSW.
These tougher restrictions will be in place for an initial two week period as we continue to monitor the developing situation in NSW.
🔸 This is necessary to keep WA safe.
🔸 You must meet the tougher exemption criteria to be allowed to enter WA if you have been in or travelled through NSW in the previous 14 days.
🔸 Anyone entering from NSW must undertake testing for COVID-19.
🔸 Travellers will be required to undertake mandatory 14-day quarantine, unless exempt.
Significant conditions and penalties will be enforced by the WA Police Force.
We know the restrictions are inconvenient for a lot of people for various reasons, however, these measures are necessary to protect Western Australia. The WA Police Force is working hard to process the large volumes of exemption applications.
