A mother in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney is accused of allegedly stabbing her own son.
At approximately 1.40 am, emergency services were called to a home on Drumalbyn Street, Bellevue Hill, and found a 22-year-old man with several stab wounds to his arm, shoulder and back.
“Initially he had extremely low blood pressure indicating he had a significant amount of bleeding and the location of the wounds can certainly be fatal,” NSW Ambulance Inspector Giles Buchanan told 9News.
His mother could be heard yelling his name as police held her back as paramedics hurried to get the victim into the back of an ambulance.
A crime scene has been set up and the 55-year-old mother of the victim has been taken into custody.
As evidence, a knife was retrieved and is being forensically examined.
The woman was charged with injury with the intention of causing serious bodily harm and was denied bail to appear tomorrow at Parramatta Local Court.
