After legendary ice cream company Streets unveiled a new Paddle Pop “game-changer” the taste of an Aussie summer just got a whole lot better.
Recently, Streets unveiled the flavour of the strawberry milkshake to fans of the brand already interested in getting their hands on it.
Shoppers can find the ice creams nationwide in grocery stores, which sell at $7 for an eight-stick pack.
Paddle Pop’s first ever strawberry-flavored sticks join the traditional flavours of chocolate, banana and rainbow.
Many people who have already sampled the new flavour have declared it to be “tastes and smells like a strawberry milkshake,” while enthusiastic childhood treat fans are anxious to get their hands on that.
“Strawberry paddle pops! Been waiting for this forever,” one woman said.
Some described it as a “game changer” while others who grew up in their school canteen in the 1990s fondly recalled buying the ice cream sticks.
The new flavour comes just weeks after Streets launched “scoopable” versions of their iconic flavours of Bubble O’Bill, Rainbow Paddle Pop and Golden Gaytime, widely considered to be the favourite ice creams of the country.
Streets is known for striking nostalgic flavours on fans. Since releasing a choc-mint Paddle Pop in 2018, the brand started a fan frenzy, 20 years after it vanished from the supermarket shelves.
Chocolate, rainbow ice-cream and lemonade are the popular flavours.
