This Brazilian car dealership welcomed him into their ranks with open arms after a stubborn stray dog wouldn’t take no for an answer.

The dog was such a success with consumers that they wanted to turn him into a business mascot, rather than just housing him on the web.

Though the dog was adopted in May, this week the pooch only made international headlines after being identified on the company’s website as an employee.

His job description was “pawfessional consultant”.

Staff at a Brazilian Hyundai Prime dealership found the same dog running around the front of the store every day earlier this year.

Yet they agreed not to neglect him but to give him what he wanted — some affection and attention.

The manager wanted to take the dog in as his own, after a particularly rainy night. So Emerson Mariano, the showroom manager, bathed the dog in May, fed him, and gave him a name — Tucson Prime.

Tucson was so popular with customers he was immediately promoted to a company employee as a mascot.

Now the doggo is as happy as it can be with his own personalised kennel emblazoned on it with his name.

The dog’s owner, Mr Mariano, told Top Motors Brazil media outlet that many customers have returned to the store even after purchasing a car just to say hello to the dog and give him gifts.

Tucson was taken to a doctor after his adoption to get all the requisite vaccines and not only became a true part of the team, but he’s also expected to launch a nationwide campaign for Hyundai as well.
