A child care worker from Queensland who reportedly abused a child indecently and filmed the attacks has been charged with more than 100 offences.
The 39-year-old man is accused, police said in a statement on Thursday, of several counts of rape, indecent treatment and bestiality.
He is also accused of manufacturing and selling content for child pornography, and of providing dangerous drugs.
Prosecutors will allege the man taking pictures of his victims and sharing them for many years.
Some of the crimes were committed at the child care centre in Townsville where he was working, police said.
“We’re working closely with that centre at the moment,” Detective Senior Sergeant David Miles said.
“We have identified some victims from that particular centre.
“We’re working back through historical records at the moment to identify whether there are any more.
“At this stage, it’s unknown whether we’ll have any further victims from that.”
He is scheduled to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on September 29.
