It’s the classic toy that many Australians have had as youngsters, and now they’re coming back to ALDI.
The supermarket has announced that it will sell Pound Puppies in the forthcoming Special Buys sale.
The toy was a staple in the 1980s, sharing pride of place in many children’s bedrooms alongside the Cabbage Patch Dolls.
Now the limited edition plush dogs are going to make a comeback-and the ALDI shoppers can’t be more pleased.
Thousands shared their memories of a toy, and many still owning the 30-year-old puppies
“Wow, childhood memories. So getting these for kids,” said one.
Said a third: “Mine’s still in my garage. I have the original papers and everything!”
Wrote one more: “Wow I thought this was an ad from the 80s! How cool is that!!!
Pound Puppies cost $29.95 and will be on sale in ALDI’s Special Buys sale nationally on Saturday, October 31.
