A growing number of people from Melbourne’s 36 suburbs that got locked up last night have expressed their disappointment and anger and have said that there are not staying at home.
From midnight, 36 Melbourne suburbs were issued a stay-at-home order in a bid to stop Coronavirus transmission in the community.
However, before even the orders came into effect, some residents have started complaining about the new rules.
When asked if she would be following the stay-at-home orders she said: “No”.
“I’ve got better things to do,” one said.
Those determined before the rules have slammed their neighbours for not following and disobeying the rules.
“They’re ignorant and stupid,” one man said, while another said it was “brainless”.
For some Melburnians, the great divide is agonisingly close with postcode borders coming down to just centimetres.
