More than a fortnight after losing her third child, Jack, due to pregnancy complications, Chrissy Teigen has broken her silence.
On October 1-days after the model was admitted to hospital due to a weak placenta and blood loss-Teigen and husband John Legend shared the heartbreaking news.
Ever since the announcement, Teigen, who is usually active on Twitter and Instagram, has been quiet on social media.
“She told her 32.8 million Instagram followers on Friday local time-“We are quiet but we are okay”.
“Love you all so much,” she said, amid a string of her husband’s tweets.
At the Billboard Music Awards dedicated to Teigen, Legend offered an emotional performance of Never Break from his new album.
“This is for Chrissy,” he said on Wednesday night as he started his performance.
Legend spoke directly to his wife in tweets made after the performance, writing: “I love and cherish you and our family so much. We’ve experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together.”
“We’ve experienced the miracle, the power, and joy of this gift, and now we’ve deeply felt its inherent fragility.”
Legend also thanked everyone who had “been sending us prayers, and well wishes, flowers, cards, words of comfort and empathy.”
“We feel and appreciate your love and support more than you know.
“I’m sure Chrissy will have much more to say about this when she’s ready.”
