After contracting COVID-19 a Victorian chicken plant worker has been found dead in his house.

Kelvin Nguyen, 51, allegedly contracted the virus at Breakwater ‘s Golden Farms plant and was connected to 44 instances.

It is known that the man’s corpse was found on Sunday afternoon at his Newcomb residence.

Turosi, the parent company of the processing facility, claims Nguyen has been working for over 15 years.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our valued long-term employees,” Turosi CEO Phil Hand said.

“We were informed he had tested positive for COVID-19 and of his passing by Barwon Health late yesterday.”

Hand said Turosi would extend its support to Nguyen’s family following his death.
