Kerri-Anne Kennerley is one of the on-air celebrities who has been revealed today to be axed by the Ten Network in an attempt to save costs.
Mumbrella reveals that Kennerley’s Studio 10 colleague Natarsha Belling and long-serving weatherman Tim Bailey were both let go, as Ten today announces a “restructuring of the department of News and Operations” that would impact on-air talents.
The source notes that fellow panellist Joe Hildebrand of Studio 10 is “in discussions” with the programme regarding his future. News.com.au reports that Hildebrand was given a diminished ability to continue on with Studio 10, and is actually evaluating the deal.
As news broke this afternoon, entertainment reporter Peter Ford tweeted that he had “just spoke to KAK on the golf course. She’s sad for others but totally accepts the brutal realities of the industry and will finish in a few weeks. Was told face to face this morning. No anger and no bitchy quotes.”
Sad to confirm the news that I am among those leaving Network Ten. Proud of our team at @10NewsFirstAdl currently working to bring you your local bulletin tonight.

Ten reported that although the current affairs panel on flagship 6:30pm The Project is unchanged by the reforms, “there would also be several adjustments to Studio 10 ‘s presentation. It’ll continue broadcasting from 8 am to 12 pm on weekdays.
“As a result of the restructuring, some on-air presenters, journalists and operations staff will leave Network 10. The network would like to thank those people for their dedication and hard work.”
