A court has learned how a fellow prisoner who wanted him to “feel what all those kids felt” tortured and killed the man dubbed ‘Britain’s worst paedophile’ in jail.
Richard Huckle was serving 22 life sentences for the rape of almost 200 children between the ages of six months and 12 years when Paul Fitzgerald was reportedly killed in cold blood.”
In a “prolonged assault designed to humiliate and degrade” the paedophile at Full Sutton Prison in October last year, three years after he was sentenced for life for sexually assaulting dozens of children in Cambodia and Malaysia, Hull Crown Court heard that Fitzgerald, 30, set upon Huckle, 33.
According to The Sun, in an assault he characterised as “poetic justice,” Fitzgerald told the prison’s mental health team that he “killed Mr Huckle in cold blood and would like to have cooked bits of his body.”
“This is a man who rapes and abuses children for fun,” Fitzgerald is alleged to have said at the time.
“He could have killed them as well. I’m inclined to think he did worse than just raping them.”
