The protest, scheduled for Sunday, was labelled as a “freedom day celebration” by organisers claiming that the virus is a “biochemical” weapon and part of a “military coup”
Organizers have invited participants to brush up a script to deliver to police to prevent their arrest, but police say they’re going to be out in force and “selfish” protesters can expect $1652 in bulk fines.
It involves telling police “I have the right to demonstrate” and “if you arrest me it will give me the right to put you in the Melbourne Magistrate’s court witness box.”
In a statement, Victoria Police declared the planned protest “a completely blatant breach” of the CHO’s directions that “puts Victorian lives at risk”.
“This selfish behaviour will absolutely not be tolerated. Be assured Victoria Police will be responding and will take appropriate action.”
Eve Black, the activist who became the face of last month’s anti-mask campaign, celebrated her Police victory at a checkpoint using a script. She was eventually charged and fined.
